Kids & Teens Social Play Group – Summer 2024

The Social Play Group class is designed to help kids and teens develop crucial social skills while building bonds and friendships with their peers. Through fun interactive activities and group conversations, participants learn to communicate effectively, show kindness, and manage conflict respectfully. There will be hands-on activities that encourage teamwork and social interactions. Join us and watch your child thrive socially!

Ms. Lyn will be the instructor of the class. She is currently an Instructional Assistant in training students from all disability categories including those with severe emotional behavioral disabilities for 13 years. She has an ABA experience for six years and she is also one of the teachers of FCSN’s After School Program for five years. Her passion and professional experiences in working with students will contribute to the goals of providing students with a safe and positive learning environment.

STEM Explorer Club Summer 2024

Join us for some fun STEM activities where learning meets laughter and friendships are formed! This club is a space where participants come together to collaborate, share ideas, and bond with like-minded peers.  There will be engaging hands-on activities for participants of all levels. Through fun projects and teamwork, we will explore the world of STEM together. Get ready to have a blast with new friends!

This camp will be led by William Zhou, a rising senior at MSJHS.  William has tutored kids in math and coding and he thinks STEM is one of the most important and enriching parts of any child’s life. At each class, your students will get to explore math and science concepts through fun hands-on activities.

Computer Coding Club Summer 2024

In our Coding Club, participants come together to explore app development using the MIT App Maker, but it’s more than just coding—it’s a social adventure. Guided by our instructor, they collaborate, laugh, and learn as they craft apps ranging from drawing tools to building a game. Through shared experiences, they build friendships and bond over testing out their creations together. Join us for a journey where coding and camaraderie go hand in hand.

Step into the world of Lego Robotics Club, where creativity knows no bounds! LEGO has always been a favorite hobby among anyone in the community. In our beginner class, participants will work together to build and explore using the LEGO WeDo2 sets while developing essential skills like teamwork, focus and problem-solving. Through fun projects and collaborative tasks, they not only create robots but also forge new friendships with their peers. Join us for an adventure filled with building, learning, and making connections that last a lifetime!

Muay Thai Kickboxing – Summer 2024

In our Muay Thai Class, we will explore the art of self-defense through punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, all while fostering meaningful connections with your peers. Beyond mastering techniques, we emphasize teamwork and camaraderie through partner drills and group exercises. This isn’t just about learning to defend yourself—it’s about finding strength in unity and support from your fellow peers. Together, we’ll empower each other, both on and off the mat, creating friendships that last a lifetime. Join our Muay Thai family today!

The instructor, Kanit, has been a student of martial arts for 13 years, and has 2 special needs children (one mild, one severe).

Basketball Summer 2024

Get up, get out and have fun while playing basketball!  The class will help participants learn solid fundamentals and teamwork while making new friends. Participants will improve their skills and gain confidence on the court.  Each class will include conditioning, fundamentals and conclude with a basketball game. Students will be divided into groups on the first day based on age, level, and skill.  Come join us and enjoy the game while building friendships!

Badminton Summer 2024

Get moving, learn a new sport, and make friends along the way. Our classes focus on badminton fundamentals, fostering teamwork, and a love for the game. Participants not only enhance their skills but also bond with peers and build lasting friendships. Our goal is to empower confident players while strengthening physical and mental well-being. Each class ends with an exciting badminton game, promoting teamwork and social interaction. Participants will be divided into groups on the first day based on age, level, and skill.

Summer 1:1 Swim Program 2024

Dive into a world of aquatic adventure and social fun! Budding swimmers can immerse themselves in the joys of swimming while building confidence, strength, lasting friendships, and a newfound love for the water.

City of Fremont Aqua Adventure is hosting 1 on 1 swim lessons that offer tailored instruction through engaging lessons, fun-filled games, and exciting challenges, ensuring each swimmer receives the attention and support they need to thrive. Whether you’re a beginner looking to be comfortable and have fun in the water or an experienced swimmer aiming to refine your technique, our experienced instructors will guide you through every stroke. You’ll also have chances to connect with fellow swimmers during class. Come join the splash-filled fun and make a splash with new friends!

Summer Arts & Crafts Class 2024

In these summer art classes, participants will be able to unleash their inner creative selves and meet others to create lasting friendships. Whether or not the participant is currently interested in the creative process, there will be a variety of arts and crafts for them to enjoy—one of them is sure to spark an interest! The classes encourage the participants to express themselves through art and crafts and most importantly, have fun bonding with their peers over art.

Teaching this course will be three co-teachers. One of the teachers, Chloe Deng, has experience volunteering alongside different art classes/art camps throughout the past years; she taught this camp last year. The other teacher, Chloe Su, has had her artwork featured in the Fremont Art Association student show; she taught this camp last year as well! The newest teacher, Selina Peng, has been taking art classes since she was five.

The Junior Hip Hop Dance Class Summer 2024

Join us to experience dance where movement meets music and fun knows no bounds! Our inclusive dance class welcomes participants of all skill levels to embrace the joy of performance while connecting with others. Over five dynamic sessions, we’ll groove to the beats of popular hip-hop tunes, learning exhilarating choreography along the way. Friends and families are welcome to come and watch our final performance at the last class!

Instructor William Zhou is a rising senior at MSJHS, who enjoys music and dancing. He is on the school’s K-Pop and J-Pop dance teams and performed at Homecoming and Multicultural Week in his high school. William hopes to share his passion for dance with kids at FCSN.

Drama Camp Summer 2024: “Super Mario Bros.” with a Twist

Join our Drama Camp for an exciting theater adventure with a focus on friendship! Discover the magic of acting, creativity, and collaboration in a vibrant and inclusive environment. Through auditions, rehearsals and performances, participants embark on a journey of self-expression and connection. Campers will bond over shared experiences and create a sense of community that extends beyond the stage. Develop invaluable interpersonal skills and boost confidence while expressing yourself both on and off stage. Come join us for a fun-filled camp where drama and friendship take center stage!

Participants will come together to audition for the character role that they want to play for the camp prior to the start of the camp.

Beginner Music Camp Summer 2024

Join our Music Camp for a fun and social experience! Perfect for beginners, this 4-day camp invites participants to explore the world of music while making friends. During camp, the campers will come together to rehearse and learn to sing, dance and play percussion instrument, embarking on a musical journey that fosters personal growth and artistic expression. In our supportive environment, participants will cultivate talents, build friendships, and create lasting memories through the joy of music. The camp will end with a concert where all the campers will showcase the camp songs and dances they have learned to an audience in the community. WHO: Anyone who loves music.  Ages 5 and up.

(On the 1st day, participants ages 5-12 will be divided into the young children group and participants ages 13 and above will be in the teen/adult)

Join our Advanced Music Camp for an incredible musical experience! During this 4-day camp, experienced and talented musicians and singers come together to create ensembles and choirs to experience making music. But it’s not just about music—it’s about building lasting friendships. Connect and bond with others who share your passion for music. Come join us for a memorable journey where friendship and music go hand in hand! The camp will end with a concert where all the campers showcase their musical productions for an audience in the community.

Percussion Paradise Class Summer 2024 

This course introduces the basics of percussion instruments and techniques while providing a fun and supportive space for participants to create music together. Students will explore a variety of percussion instruments, discovering the unique sounds they can produce. They will practice basic techniques for each instrument, learn to identify different rhythms and beats, and work together in small groups. Through collaborative group activities, they will not only develop their musical skills but also forge friendships and strengthen teamwork abilities. The course will end in a final performance for family and friends, showcasing the participants’ progress and skills.

In our cooking club, we believe that culinary adventures extend beyond the kitchen—they’re about forging bonds, creating memories, and celebrating together. We understand that mealtime holds significant importance during family celebrations like birthday parties, Thanksgiving, and Christmas gatherings. Our club provides a social experience where participants not only share the joy of cooking a meal together but also gather around the table to enjoy the fruits of their labor. As we prepare delicious dishes, we engage in conversations, learn table manners, and strengthen social bonds.
