Ms. Marina Vaserman is head of Open Mind School in Menlo Park, which uses latest technologies, and incorporate methodologies such as PRT, DTT, DIR® Floortime™, RDI, and Sonrise therapies where appropriate.  Marina is also receiving Soma® Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) consultation from certified providers and seeking ongoing training opportunities in the mental health, education, and social work fields.
Students in her school come from all over the Bay Area: as far south as South San Jose, as far north as San Francisco.  Some are from the East Bay as well.  Marina constantly finds new ways to encourage interactions with nearby communities: for instance, last term students visited Microsoft Minecraft Lab regularly.  In January, the youngest certified Yoga trainer, Tabay Alkins, was at the school to lead a Yoga lesson, and Jenny Herwick, the author of “The Adventures of Frazzle and Twitch”, was at the school reading to the students and teaching them about writing.
The parents who are interested in life-long education for their special children regardless their ages or their abilities might want to attend.  You will be inspired by the resourcefulness of Marina.
