FREE East Bay Interactive Support Seminar –  A College Experience Funded by the Regional Center
 
Speaker: Ryan Wilson
Transition & Activities Coordinator, Wayfinders at California State University, Fresno.  Ryan has over 15 years experience coordinating vocational training programs. 
 
Topic Sharing/Discussion:
 
1) What is Wayfinders at California State University, Fresno?  It is an inclusive post-secondary education and residential program for students with intellectual disabilities.
 
2) What does this program include: Students learn the skills to live independently in their own apartments, take classes at Fresno State, gain vocational experience by working 7 hours a week and socially interact on campus and in the community as part of the activities program.
 
3) Who qualifies to attend this program? Students must be 18-28 years old, have an intellectual/developmental disability and be motivated to want to live independently.
Ryan will present on what services the program provides and what supports Wayfinders gives our students.
