About the Speaker: Arthur Lipscomb – Clients’ Rights Advocate
All his life, Arthur has been committed to advocating for the rights of traditionally under-served and disadvantaged communities, with a particular interest in the educational rights of children. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Legal Studies with a minor in Education. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Davis School of Law.
Topic will include:
- What is IHSS
- How to qualify for IHSS
- How to get the number of hours you need to meet your needs
- Food preparation and options
- What other services are available
- Housing challenges: affordable housing and support services
- Are these services working for your family? What’s working and what’s not?
