Local Children's Program
Welcome!!
The goal of the Local Children Programs is to build a brighter future for our children with special needs and to provide them with fun learning opportunities that are usually not offered to them. All programs are coordinated by volunteers/parents and run by caring professionals. Classes are affordable at $5-$15/hour. We urge all participants to be part of FCSN's supportive village by joining our membership. It's simple and easy and only $50 for a life-time membership fee. For all FCSN non-members, there is an additional $25 per person per program per session fee. Please contact each local program coordinator directly through email/phone for registrations/ further details.

In six art classes, students will learn drawing, painting with different art media; pencil, oil pastel, crayon and water color. The class content includes still life objects, animals and other objects, introduce shapes, proportion, perspective, coloring and shading techniques.
In six ceramic classes, students will learn hand building techniques: pinching, coiling, extruding, press-molding, slab building and more. They'll make fun projects, like tea pots, holiday gifts, bird house, animals...etc. at the same time, practice mind-hand coordination by shaping clay, decorating and coloring.

Life Empowerment Program

Activities:
I. 3:00 - 4:00 Current Event: Students are introduced the weekly current event news according to News2you icon newspaper. The supplemented videos and worksheets will be offered in the class for students to understand the topics further.
II. 4:00 - 6:00 Cooking Class: up to 6 students each class; every week, the student gets to explore a new recipe from our cooking teacher.
III. 4:00 - 6:00 Music Class: We cover all different aspects of music from theory, rhythm, music knowledge to pop music. Music movement will be involved in the class too.
